2015 Event Schedule

Planned Exhibitions

January 17 – March 1 Master Carpenters in Japan，China，and Korea

We will show you the artisanship and spirit of the greatest craftsmen who were involved with the major East Asian architecture of the Forbidden City, the Gyeongbok Palace, and the Yakushiji Temple as well as the spirit of those master architects who succeeded them. We also offer demonstrations and lectures.

Expected July – August Science and Technology Movie Theater 2015

Crafting-related pieces among the museum’s 16 mm films are played.

Expected October – December Toyota Collection Special Exhibition

We will also guide you through the valuable materials of science technologies in various fields from the mid-Edo period to the early Meiji era. A demonstration of the “Karakuri” (hidden mechanism) technology is also offered.

January 4 and 6 Enjoy! Winter Discovery and Experience Museum

A crafting event that everyone can enjoy will be held for the two days during the winter recess. ・ Let’s make a colorful bracelet (300 people/day on a first come, first served basis) ・ Let’s challenge for a long rally; Hanetsuki (Japanese battledore and shuttlecock) with balloon (300 people/day on a first come, first served basis) ・ Rotating Art?! – Spinning Top Quoits (300 people/day on a first come, first served basis)
* We also offer the Technoland Quizzes event.

March 28，29 and 31 Enjoy! Spring Discovery and Experience Museum

Three crafting events that anyone can enjoy will be held for the three days during the spring recess. (To be announced)

June 6 and 7 Museum opening commemorative Special event “Nori Nori Exciting Weekend”

A special event where you can join a ride on the first generations of Toyota Crown, Celica, and Corolla that a whole family can enjoy will be held with our heartfelt thanks in celebration of the museum opening on June 11th.

August 19 – 23 Enjoy! Summer Discovery and Experience Museum

Three crafting events that anyone can enjoy will be held for the five days during the summer recess (To be announced).
